Learning Objectives
Do Now | Accordion Books The first 10 minutes of classes will be dedicated to finishing your most recent accordion book reflections:
Academic Discussion | True for Who? Today each of you have been placed in a specific group in order to discuss the tragedy of chapter seven from a specific character's view point. If there is time, we will rotate through the characters so you will have an opportunity to discuss from two different view points. Begin by assigning roles within the group . Each group will need to have a scribe, speaker and seekers. The scribe should record the groups response to the following questions from the character's perspective. The speaker will initially read the response to the class as a whole before full-out group discussion. The seekers find evidence from the text to support the character perspective. Each group needs to have at least two pieces of evidence from the novel for each question.
Ruppel and Austin please see me. Exit Slip | I Used to Think....Now I Think Please give one example of something you heard/considered today that changed or reconsidered your original response to the tragedy.
