Do Now | The Kite Runner Tableaux
Find the table with the number you were assigned at the door. STEP 1: Silently consider the meaning of The Kite Runner excerpt located in your group. When directed, discuss collectively. STEP 2: Decide how to best capture its imagery in a tableau. Decide what the tableau will look like by answering the following questions:
STEP 3: When your group is presenting the frozen image, each individual (whether they represent a person, object, or symbol) will be tapped. At that time you will speak out a phrase or sentence which gives a clue as to who or what you are in the tableau or what your character may be feeling (this is called inferencing). STEP 4: Each group will share the tableau with the class. As an audience member, be prepared to discuss:
